  • Wow, a tree planting party! That sounds sweet; so nice of you to offer. It sure would be fun. I will already have the holes dug for the 14 deciduous trees that must be planted immediately. The 6 citrus trees will be planted in March. I'm not sure when to plant the grapes, but Heather Welch is coming over this Sunday to help me with a plan.
Can you believe I decided not to go Saturday? I worked in the yard ALL 4 days I had off, even Thanksgiving morning. My daughter did most of the cooking. I made so much progress, but there's a lot more to do.
Thanks for giving Anthea a ride. Maybe we can seed swap between ourselves some day.
  • I changed my mind about going to the seed swap since I have so much to do to prepare for the fruit trees I ordered. I hate to back out since I asked Anthea if she wanted to go with me. I'll have to let her know.
  • Have you heard about the wild food foraging tomorrow? I'm going so let me know if you are interested in going with me. Here are the details:
"Honey, What's For Dinner?"- Cave Creek Park
    Cave Creek Regional Park
We are going to take an easy 1 mile hike on our Jasper trail. We will be talking about the amazing plants of Cave Creek Park. We will show you how the people of our history survived in this harsh landscape using some of this vegetation. Bring EXTRA water and some sturdy shoes.

  • Yes, it was good to meet you too.
  • That will be great, look forward to it!
  • Good - Peg says she will come too.
  • Marcy, thx for the bee info. I didnt want to wait for the next class. Patience is a virtue I unfortunately have not been graced with. D
  • Hey, thanks for the heads-up on Chihuley (sp?) at the DBG. I'm going to see if my glass artist girlfriend wants to check it out. We usually go to the DBG once a year together. We saw his glass exhibit at the PHX Art Museum a few years ago. It was awesome!
  • Sorry! I sometimes get confused on these message boards. I thought you'd commented on Boyce Thompson. You should definitely check it out. They have the most amazing, huge red gum trees!
  • Hi, Marcy! I've had the Honda a month now. LOVE IT!! I just want to hug it, even though it's a machine. Not sure about the mileage...I spend about 50 cents/day to go to work and back (W. Mesa to central Phx.) It goes 45 m.p.h. My son bought a Stella last summer (his 3rd scoot), and he's enjoying it up in Seattle.

Boyce Thompson is fantastic, isn't it? I love it there.

"good to hear that. i don't blame you, i'd be avoiding it too. i think with some extra precautionary measures in the future, you can avoid this. i've read even dirt can harbor it ( as well as many other things) for now get LOTS of rest and just heal."

"hi debbie,
the more aeration the better. lots of holes. i got mine from the city of phx too and am thinking of drilling a few more holes in it. (i also took the lid off and turned it upside down) the tumbler that your hubby made is very nice!"
