  • sue, thanks for your concern. i've just been realy busy lately. i got my wisdom teeth out about a month ago and i think that slowed me down a little bit for a few weeks. lately i've been in a mad rush to try and get stuff done before it gets too hot. i just haven't had that much time to post. always nice to hear from you and would still love to meet sometime for a seed swap or something of the likes whenever the time arrises.
    happy early mother's day!
  • Hi Sue, thanks for the complement, I bought the material at Southwest latilla, in Phoenix and then stained the wood. The uprights are 7-8" diameter and the top strips are 2-3" diameter
  • I use a special mix for the soil blocks that I got from Jennifer. Here's the link http://azhomegrownsolutions.ning.com/forum/topics/soil-block-recipe... So far I love these soil blocks but I am only waiting for my first batch to sprout.
  • little baby chicks! oh, so cute. i went on the tours of the bee oasis and dolce verde this weekend and was amazed at how quiet the chickens were. how cool!
  • sue,
he is doing very good , thanks for asking. geez, what a nightmare though! i have to take him back soon and get his liver values tested to make sure none of that has changed. apparently it can still affect the liver up to a month after the ingestion. i'm just so happy he is alive. i'm never going to buy anything with that ingredient ever again.
  • sue,
i would absolutely love some if they take. that would be awesome. also if your blackberry turns up any extras, i'd love one of those. i can trade you some seeds or something.
i need to get more of my veggies going too, but i've been working on the hardscaping stuff and hope to start soon. i'm sure i've missed some of the optimal planting dates, but i'm just gonna throw stuff in and cross my fingers. seems that i've had pretty good luck that way, and i'm not very good at working within timeframes (must be burnout from work, lol)
enjoy you well earned break this weekend =)
  • and eat them i did! lol. i just finished the last ones before i turned on the computer. how are you doing sue?
  • thanks sue , i just brought him home from the vet. i have to take him to my regualr vet in 1-2 weeks for bloodwork to check his liver. i'm hoping we're through the scariest part though.
  • sue,
it was so nice to see you on saturday. i wish we would've had more time to visit, but things were a little hectic that day. we made it to peg's house, all trees still intact and unloaded everything and planted 3 trees. maybe some time when your free we could meet up for coffee/tea and do a seed swap or some gardening or something.
  • Thanks for the comment on the pic. I was growing (the photo was from November I think) Tomatoes, beans, lettuce, onions, chard, basil. The tomatoes froze, but have them greenhoused now with a heat lamp and the tomatoes are still ripening! I recently started seedlings for tomatoes. Plant seeds indoors now and have them out by by mid march and you will have tomatoes in the summer.
