I sent you a message a while back about Peters Honey Fig I have that, though it looked great, wasn't producing well. I've posted on the forum but am not getting any responses. Could you tell me a few things?
Mine is 3 years old and has grown a lot and looks great, so either I'm doing something wrong or I got a bum tree. I've posted a picture. I am watering once a week for 6 hrs with a bunch of 2 gal. emitters spread out to the canopy of the tree. It is on the west side of my house and gets everything but real early morning sun. It is mulched but could probably use more use more. Its been fed once or twice each year with fish emulsion or extreme juice. Let me know if anything sticks out to you that I'm doing wrong. Or if you could just tell me about yours, when you get crops, how much and when, how you water and feed, sun exposure etc.. that might help. I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you, jeff
Thank you for the friend request. The french gourmet garden looks like a wonderful idea. I'd love to see how you make cheese with your goats sometime. I'd like to get a couple of goats and try my hand at that. But no idea how to begin.
You know I thought I was opening discussions with my blogs, but figured it out the other day when my latest thing wasn't in the forum. Thanks for getting back to me though. Wow 7 Peters Honey trees! You must love figs and also have a lot of space. No I haven't figured it out yet but if I do I'll let you know. I'm thinking maybe I'm under watering or the tree just hasn't developed a deep enough root sys. to support the figs in this heat.
You are the first on my "friends" list. I've recently joined this group and the micro livestock group and I must say I thoroughly enjoy reading the discussions, blogs, etc. Everyone seems to be very nice and helpful. I appreciate kindness, thank you.
Hi Michael and Lylah,
You are on my friends list from a while ago but I have been out of the loop for some time now. Just wanted to formally introduce myself and say hi. Hope to be a bit more involved with the phx perm. Have been going to more farmer's markets and learning the ropes of the valley. Hope we can stay in touch and perhaps meet sometime as well. Take care, Susan

"Hi Jeff...so sorry I didn't see your question. As for the figs drying and falling off..what a bummer. I didn't have that problem...and now that we have about 7 peters' honeys figs...I hope we have the same success. What about posting a question for…"
