  • Hi Peggy, good to meet you yesterday on the silly mtn walk, very enjoyable and informative. Your photos are great!

  • Peggy, your fermented Purslane was scrumptious, would you share the recipe?

  • Peggy, It was a fun evening!

Amazing food, games and conversation with people who respect the Earth and appreciate the goodies that Nature offers ... What a treat!

Tank you and I am looking forward to the next one. :-)

  • Thanks for finding me, Peggy! I'd definitely like to chat with you about fermenting produce; I'm eager to learn!

  • One thing I have discovered about Moringa trees is that they like to dry out between waterings. I think they are suseptible to root rot.

I lost a couple of small trees early on this summer because I started them in pots and I think they went into shock when I transplanted them into the yard. I currently have 8 of them that I planted this summer and they are doing well. I have been 'topping them' regularly to make them more bushy. I'm eating the leaves or drying them to use later.

Now I just hope they make it through the winter! Then I might actually get some flowers and seeds :) I'll be happy to share.

  • Hi Peg...we live very close...I m on 67 av and Cactus
  • thanks for the chard, and thanks for being flexible. That worked out so great for me today! Hope you enjoy the eggs.
  • will need to be a little flexible as I never know how full my schedule is until I get to work in the morning. Usually Fridays end by 12-12:30. Do you have some flexibility in your schedule? If we can work it out I would love to do a trade. My # is 480-292-5971, I can't always answer my phone if I am with a Patient, but leave a message and I will call you back. I also have your number.
  • You are welcome!  Good luck with your solar ovens!

Q:  How much grains did you use for 1 qt?  How much PP juice would you put in?"

And I'm glad you liked the purslane, however it was the only dish that wasn't fermented.  All I did was to put raw purslane in some pickle juice and let it sit in the…"
