  • Debbie, you had mentioned on a post regarding chickens and blackberries...would it be possible to get a cutting of you blackberry plant ??
I would love to try root one. I lived in the Seattle for years and I miss the blackberries and would love to get some started here.

  • Hey Debbie,
Thanks for the info on canyonland worms - I'll check them out too!

  • Thanks Debbie !!
  • Thanks, I feel welcome already!
  • well, the solution was to entomb them. in the end, we did nothing! they are still there and happily pollinating our garden.
  • Hi Debbie,
I'm actually not looking for worms myself - I'm just looking for a local source to refer others to. I've hear about this place called Wonder Worm, but can't seem to locate it. Do you have worms to share? I just taught a worm class this morning at the market, and there were a few people potentially interested in setting up worm bins... if you have any, I could put them in contact with you...

    Thanks!

  • So true - Jane Doyle also lives in the Farms and I think there are several others over on this side of town...I have been so busy lately (and probably through May) that I am finding it hard to keep up with all that is happening on the boards - I am going to the preservation class this Saturday from 10:30 - Noon to learn how to can all these tomatoes I'm growing :)...should be ready in May.
  • Thanks, Debbie!
  • Hi Debbie - we've lived in Sunburst farms for 2 years this May and we love it! We live between 43d & 45th Ave on Port Au Prince - the neighbors are great and the dogs and cats have a lot more room to roam. I have two gardens as of this year and we hope to build a chicken coop in the fall - how great that you are getting back into the chicks and gardening! Let me know if I can help in any way - have become a champion shoveler lately with the advent of the second garden. - we did it as frugally as possible so a lot of manual labor was involved :). My current gardens have 14 tomato plants so maybe we can swap eggs for tomatoes in a little while :). Welcome to the PermaCulture Guild - I've taken 7 or 8 classes and really enjoy it - check out Az Homegrown as well - more of a Victory Garden and community involvement slant.
