Hi There- I write for Chow Bella, Phoenix New Times' food blog and I'm looking for someone in Phoenix city limits who keeps Rabbits or Ducks for the purpose of meat. Please don't respond below- please simply email me kate.b.crowley@gmail.comThanks!
"Yes, I was assuming that she wasn't wanting to feed the older and younger girls separately, and if that's the case, like you said, she has to feed the higher protein grower/chick starter. The grower is lower in calcium so that will need to be…"
"If I just give our birds oyster shells, they turn their bills up at it. But I guess I'm mixing the veggies with the desert, but here's what I do:\
We save the egg shells from the eggs we use, bake them and blend them in the food processor until…"
"thank you! unusually, our girls are "so over" the crusted oyster shell. Even though the big girls aren't laying as often, they have no interest in the oyster shell. Its very odd, but they got a good bill of health so I can't complain!"
"You should stick with catering to the group with the highest protein needs. The rest will do fine on the higher protein, but the growing birds will not do fine on the lower protein feed. "
Hello All: We're mixing our 16 week old birds with our "big girls" this weekend. Can I feed a mix of grower and layer feed to the flock these 4 weeks? I understand neither will hurt either group of birds?

"Hi Todd! Anxiously awaiting next week! Again, call 480 277 4178 anytime and I'll make arrangements to come and get the chicks! I really appreciate all of your help. Hopefully they will come Sunday or Monday!
k."
"Wow! I go to work for a few hours and there's now two pages of discussion. Sounds like you got your order in Kate. Glad to hear it. I think we'll wait maybe two weeks before getting a few bantams as we need to do some work in the chicken run first."
"Hi Todd- this is awesome news!!! my cell is 480 277 4178 if you need to reach me. I work during the day and have a work event the evening of the 14th but I will happily come and get them pronto as my boss permits! I currently have plans to be up…"
