Beth, Thanks for the compliment on Ophelia. All my chickens are named after Shakespearean ladies (Lady Macbeth, Juliet, Cordelia, and now Ophelia) since my husband is a huge Shakespeare fan.
Best wishes!

Hi Beth.
The fecal was negative for parasites, and I did not see any unusual protozoa. With that said, parasites are not shed in every feces.
I would be more than happy to look at a sample that is bloody. It would have a higher diagnostic index.
Nice meeting you today.
Nathan.
Hi,
sorry cox was down part of yesterday so I am just getting some of my emails today. Sure drop it on by the office. A Fresh sample is best. Also, a cloacal swab would be good as well. You can take a mositened q-tip and swab around the cloaca. Put in in a baggie and drop them off.
5533 E. Bell Rd (55th st & Bell) you cant miss it. I am there today (my surgery day) or I can stop in tomorrow on my day off. If you stop in today I would like to say hi. Just let the front desk know that I said it was ok to drop off the samples. I will let them know when I go in this morning.

Hi Beth - That didn't happen to mine, however, I planted it in October and the top actually died off that winter and came back early the following spring. The plant is in full sun gets enough water and is doing great. In fact, it now as 9 small bananas! If you want to see the plant let me know.
I have 3 Americaunas & 3 Buff Orphington's. They are currently living in the blue box in my man's shop. He is taking next week off and will build our Chicken Tractor.
Hey Beth - I hope your "farm" is doing well...I went & purchased 6 baby chicks Friday after work....I wanted to do it while all of the great knowledge I learned from Rachel was still fresh in my head.
Its too funny. My man was totally not interested in the whole "Raising Chickens" idea of mine....but as soon as we got to Pratts, he turned into a big softy who now is "Daddy Chicken" to all the babies...he even named most of them LOL.
Hi Beth,
Happy Mother's Day! I got the poofy top chicken from a college kid off Craigslist. He called her a Tuxedo Polish Bantam but I have not found that name anywhere. She looks like a 'Silver' Polish Bantam. She, well I hope she is a she, is about 3 months old and is a hoot! Love the new coop. It's so Pottery Barn!
Hello,
Ok I am envious of your carrots. I have been trying to grow heirloom carrots (purple, white, yellow) for about a year now with limited success. What is your 'secret'? Sorry to hear about cinderfella :(

"That chart is so cool! My two old girls had started to lay again about 3-4 weeks ago. Now one of them has stopped again the past 2 weeks. I can't figure it out. :) ????"

"Oh Becky I am so sorry, that is HORRIBLE & cruel. I cannot believe someone would do that to your chickens. You must have been heartbroken.

"They're just over 1 year old but my 2 year olds were laying well through the summer too. (Until they died in August due to an idiot that said he would take care of my chickens while I was out of town and then didn't! They ran out of water. I'm still…"
