About Me:
I am retiring this year so not a young person going into this. I am part of that back to the land movement of the late 60s and 70s. Had a few years of doing it but life got in the way so now I am returning to what really interests me with a little less ability to do the physical work.

Yes, I've been a bit disappointed that there are few/no classes or events for those of us who live way, way, waaaaaay out west. I'm another 10 miles further west than you, and much north, too, above the Carefree Hwy alignment. I've not been looking at the site much in the past few months, as I'm recovering from knee surgery. I am also no longer as young and strong as I used to be. I've still got a huge mound of tomatoes on my kitchen counter that I harvested when they were still green, immediately prior to the freeze in early Dec, and I'm trying to get time & ambition to coincide to make and can tomato sauce. I have not made any attempt, yet, to go dig sweet potatoes.
Absolutely ... how may I help you? What are you planning?
You can reach me more efficiently at bryan@thegreenhousefarm.com ... it is my mobile contact ... talk to you soon, :) B
