Hi Heather,
I only teach classes and yes we have all of the equipment that you would need to butcher your own birds and we typically rent the gear out (plucker, scalder, killing cones etc..) to people that have attended our class. We do not allow participants to bring their birds to the workshop as want to keep a "closed herd" and transporting the birds here to our property from yours will somewhat defeat part of the purpose of NOT stressing the birds out on butchering day. The classes that we teach are hands on workshops and when a person goes through the 3 - 4 hour workshop they are more than capable of butchering their own birds without our help. My next class is scheduled for the first week of January the exact dates are yet to be determined. The class is 25.00 and if you wish to purchase one of the organically raised birds that is an addtional 10.00. I only take 12 people per class so if you are interested the best thing to do is send me your email address and let me know how many on your end (just you or you and your husband etc) will be attending.
