Not sure I just have the humming bird feeder over the aquaponics barell so it just goes straight into the system. So I'm not exactly sure how long it would take to fill a gallon bucket. Maybe I will set up another one to find out. I also have a bat house that I use the guano from to add to my compost pile.

76 year old retiree. Grew up on large farm in Michigan. Still love the soil and animals.
"Kari, I don't know of anywhere to get a lamb. However I have an unusual need.
Our church is starting a vacation Bible School beginning next Tuesday evening. One of our themes includes having farm animals for the kids to admire and learn about. …"
"I have the same variety. Mine are not turning orange but I have had varieties turn yellow before, it sounds to me like you have waited to long to pick them. Pick one and cut it open and see if it is really seedy. My Black beauties didn't get as big…"
"Sunburn. When the seed packet or the nursery says "FULL SUN" they are NOT talking about Phoenix in late June July August or even September. These guys need some shade from about 10 am to around 4pm or even 5 or 6. Lots of stuff falls in this…"
"If the flesh inside looked okay, see what you think after tasting them. Depending on a lot of factors, a reported "huge" fruit may not get that big. My white eggplant a couple of years ago gave me some huge and some small. As long as I picked…"
" I think you are probably right.... sun and heat. There are still (4) Eggplants under leaves that are only the size of a tennis ball that are still black. Those that turned orange are maybe twice that size. I picked three of those and cut a…"

" Hi, Aaron, I'll get back with as soon as I get my camera back from my daughter in San Francisco. Maybe a day or so. I have chickens as well and are enjoying them immensely. I'll send pictures of them as well."
I think you have a good start, I use straw for mulch and after awhile it just seems to go away. I have a ? about your watering system. What would you do different? I've been contemplating one for my garden but I am still in the design…"
