  • Yes I've gotten to enjoy 3 glorious winters. Our first day we arrived it was 116 when we left Mi it was 34 degrees what a difference! I'm not sure anyone really adapts we just endure longer or are stubboner lol!
  • Welcome to the Valley, Mari! I'm wondering if you came in the summer, or if you at least were able to enjoy some of the glorious December-March first? Frm the looks of your pictures, you've adapted enormously well!

"I'm harvesting corn (a tad late, I think), have spaghetti squash, tomatoes, pole beans, pumpkins and cotton growing. Just ordered sunflowers and more corn from Native Seed Search to try to regional varieties."

"I have corn, melons, squash, tomatillos, and sunflowers doing well. Cucumbers and peppers not so well. And than of course the most important growth of all, my understanding of how to be part of a natural system.
