my wife and I are looking forward to seeing the garden sometime ... she is also part of the small time ceramic world ... jon higuchi's student at PC ...
I have some volunteer jujube plants, if you folks are interested. They are from 12 to 24" tall. I don't know for sure that they will be fruiting. You are welcome to them if you like.
Well, Chris liked the fruit but decided the tree was too big. So if you would like to come see it, just let me know when. I am hoping to get grading done in the next two to three weeks. It might be possible to it dug out then.
Chris is coming to look at the tree this morning. I will let you know if he takes it or not. I'm not in a huge rush, just planning to put bareroot peaches in that spot.
Your ceramics are wonderful! My grandfather was a professional potter, so it is one of my favorite art forms.
Farraday and Jeff have a pottery studio in Mesa with one acre of land that we have planted with desert natives and now a fruit orchard and vegetable garden.
"How old is your tree Catherine? We still only get the flowers, no fruit, and I'd say our tree (actually a chest-high shrub) is about three years old now. We have lots of bees of a variety of types, so I don't think it is a pollination issue - hoping…"
"Thanks so much Liz and Dan - that means a lot coming from you two. We like the photos you have on your VPA page - your yard and dogs! You inspire us too!"
"My husband and I eat a whole food plant-based diet, plus we don't use added oil (since it is a processed food with only a small part of the original food & hardly any nutrition). We get plenty of dietary fat from whole foods like nuts, olives, tofu,…"
"We've done this before withg the green beans & stir frying and and I agree - they are very tasty! They ARE alot of work to shuck, so we've really just done it for company meals. We've also found that some trees' beans are sweeter than others.…"
"Thanks for the quick response Catherine. I'll do just as you say!
As an aside, we roast garlic heads without the oil since we are whole food, plant-based eaters (vegan/no added oil) - we just eat whole foods that inherently have oil (most foods do,…"
"We have grown garlic for the first time this year and, like yours, it is ready to harvest. We'll hang them like you've shown. With this hot, dry weather, how long might it take for them to dry? How do you know when they are ready to bring inside?…"

Chris Byers thought it was too big for him to move. I noticed he is on your friends list, feel free to ask him.
I am in central Tempe, cross streets University and Hardy. Just give me a call (480 two six six 9815) when you want to come see it.
