  • Melissa,

Send an email to vvj5t-3403900688@sale.craigslist.org ,the person with the wood chips, to find out.  On their ad, they asked for a couple of things.  Check back on the listing to see what they were asking for.

    Good Luck,

    Lis

  • Hi Melissa, glad you have some herbs growing, I truly enjoy experimenting with any herb in the garden and kitchen.

  • So I started my garden again and it is doing really well. I have seedlings for green onions and brown onions cilantro yellow pear tomatoes brusell sprouts and more
  • Hello i started my turnips and greens in the last week of September and they grow back when they are picked,if you pick only the top part of the turnip it will grow back!! nice page!!
  • Very cool, thanks!
  • I just noticed you're in Glendale. I'm in Peoria at 95th and Olive. Just wondering how close we are.
  • Thanks Melissa! I'm buying some tonight. Let me know how they do for you and I'll try to do the same.
  • hi melissa,
yes, i was planning to and that's why i've let them get so big. it seems they take quite a while from when they begin bolting to when the seeds actually emerge. they began to flower in early january i think. hope to have many seeds to keep and share,
  • Thank you, I will - I usually don't see frost until late Jan/Feb and then if I use containers I have them under my porch roof and they don't seem to be affected at all.
  • Hi Melissa - sorry for the late reply - I have been off the site for a week or two - thanks for the feedback on my garden - we are starting another against a block wall that faces west (should be a challenge) that will be about 8 ft by 40 ft and I am using the "lasagne" technique to improve the soil as it really needs help - when I can afford it I add enrichments - a box or two of bat guano works great - for containers too! I was amazed at how good my soil in the first garden got after only one year of improving the raised beds - I will post some updated pictures this week before I put the plastic on as I have brocolli, califlower and cabbage going great guns right now. Where we are we get a lot of frost every morning as it gets later in the year. 4 or 5 degrees really makes a differenc! Have a great Thankgiving! Julie
