  • Saturday works. Directions?

  • Could I come and see your place?

  • Hi, Lisa! Thank you for offering! I think, given the response, that this is a bad time for a tour. I think (and I'll post this in the other forum, too) that we'll postpone this one, and plan one for later; or do monthly open houses (open tanks?) or something. What do you think?  One idea is to divide Phoenix into quarters and do a tour periodically in different locations to keep the mileage down. It's also been suggested that we have a Arizona (or Phoenix) Meetup that coordinates face-to-face get-togethers. Any input would be welcome. :)

  • Hi Lisette,

Howdy neighbor! I've been renting this house for the last 2 and a half years. I started off with the square foot gardening method with great results. Then a roommate moved in and we shared a garden which was pretty extensive and we also had five chickens each. This year I decided to grow the winter crop in rows. Right now growing spinach, mesclun, red leaf lettuce, white radishes, brussel sprouts, buttercrunch lettuce, kohlrabi, kale and collards. The poblano chile plants survived and so this the eggplants.  A couple of basil plants also survived. This week I'll be tilling an area to plant corn and squash. Another area will have tomatoes and carrots and basil. We should barter our excess produce. I've noticed other permaculturists just around the block from me. Take care and stay in touch.

  • So looking forward to going fishing in your tank. Hope I don't fall. : ) Have to get a tank and grow beds first. Trying to get our back yard graded out first. Then I'll start thinking about tank or tanks. Sherri who is she on the group? I would love to see her operation/setup. Thanks again for the tour of your place.

    Chad

  • Thank you so much for the invite, what is going on for you this weekend? The 8th and 9th. The 8th at 10:30 would be great as My family and I will be at the Zoo tell 10:00. But you tell me what would work for you. Please contact me at chadlmt@apcmassage.com or my phone 602-909-6858
  • Lisette, After talking it over with Farraday we are not thinking we could pull off moving the tree with all the other projects we are doing. if soneone else wants to give it a try that would be okay with us. Without a truck and and thinking of how the hole will need to be huge in our yard too it seems too much right now. It was so nice to meet you and see what great things you are doing!

  • Lisette,

I may be able to come look at your jujube tree Wednesday late afternoon. i'll call and see if that works.
  • Did Chris think the tree is too big to move? I am going to Colorado this weekend so I would like to come over next weekend possibly. What area do you live?
  • Thanks Lisette. Glad you enjoy our ceramics! Let me know if the tree is still avaliable.

These are outside, pond fish.  There are 2 big ones that are a couple of years old and a whole mess of babies born this spring.  You could use these for mosquito control or feeder fish.  The babies are about an inch long.  Send me a note to set up a…

Hey, we finally cooked up that Moscovy about a month ago. I've been meaning to write you. It turned out great! I cooked it nice and slow, covered.…"

"Jacq,
Have some grape vine cuttings for you, including a cane that got buried by accident and already has roots!  I'm 80% sure its a Flame, if not it is Thomson seedless.  Let me know if you want it and when.
