I have been going around in circles search for information on the internet with little to no success. I would be grateful for any ideas the group can offer.
I have one remaining hen from my small flock of three. The deaths of the other two were not close in sequence, but I have observed discharge around the eyes and beak of the two deceased, as well as on my remaining bird. She is symptom free now, but if it's CRD they can be carriers for life.
I would like to introduce a younger hen for egg production and to keep the old gal company, but I don't want to risk exposing a new hen to disease. Is there a county/state agency or diagnostics lab that can test a stool sample (or another type of culture) or do I need to find a vet who can test for this?

The state vet has a diagnostic lab in Tucson, but I don't think they test live animals. You will probably need to go through a vet, and it will be expensive.
