Salsa Season!

Working on my fourth barrage of salsa this summer.  Unfortunately, I'm now using mostly farmer's market ingredients (from Horny Toad, Maya's, and Crooked Sky).  Oh well, gotta support these awesome local growers too.  Here was the final batch of goodness from my garden:

Once I finish my salsa tomorrow, I'll post some pics.  Gonna try something really spicy!  Maybe this time I'll make enough to share.  ;-)

What are you guys cooking up from the garden this late in the summer?

  • I am in transition as most of us are but i am still getting Japanese eggplant and am gathering the few bunches of yellow pear tomatoes. Mostly I am picking herbs to dry and amending my soil. My recent plantings of beans and tomatoes are looking good and I am planning the next planting in the fall of cool crops. In my quest for more shade I have reduced the veggie area by about half. I guess it's a trade off but the grape vines and tropicals are happy. I see more digging in my future.
