Green tomato relish

Based on this recipe:

I left out the cilantro (hate that stuff!), added a little fresh basil instead. Didn't use as much cumin as the recipe called for. Added turmeric, mustard powder, a little lime juice, and just a bit of sugar.

It came out a bit one-dimensional for my taste -- mostly sour.  I held back on the hot chiles, and I don't think I included enough apples (Ionly used two -- red ones).
