"You could also hatch the fertile eggs from Trader Joe's.
If they are really fresh you get a pretty good hatch rate and end up with Leghorn laying machines (they have good temperaments too)

"We got ours at Higley Feed in East Gilbert off Williams Field Rd & the 202 San Tan.  They were called "Sex-Linked" but they appear to be most like Red & Black Star Hens."

"If you live in or near the NW valley, I could give you a dozen from my flock that may or may not be fertilized and may or may not hens, but I would just give them to you.  I have 15 laying hens and a rooster right now. Mine would be mixed breed also."

I'm looking to incubate and hatch chicks with the goal of then eventually being laying hens. Does any one know where's the best place to get some?Thanks!
