  • Lisette, I think I found your plant, maybe :-)

    More here on its uses:

    Kush, Lemon Grass relative

  • Hi Lisette, Hmmm, can you post a picture?  You got me curious :-)

  • Hi Lisette,

I think you have "Palm Rose" known as Palmarosa - a type of lemon grass with a rose scent along with the lemon.  The ? I have is the 6 feet of roots you note, so I could be wrong.  Very lemon grass looking but with a more slender leaf than lemon grass (I have both in my gardens but in different growing conditions).

Through "Dave's Garden" I found a link for the plants for sale

Let me know if that is not the plant and I can check further :-)

  • Thanks for the advice we went down there but the concrete was way to small. I'm looking for dinner plate size or larger since these will be a walkway.

  • We are going to try to make it today. Not sure if it'll happen, kind of depends on my labor's mood (I.E. Husband).

  • Good luck getting your computer fixed up!

  • I think I'm raising them with my worms. I've been seeing their little maroon pods everywhere in my bins. I'm planning on bokashi compost going into my worm bins after aeration. That is very nice of you to offer me some of your E-1. What would I do? Mix it with a few gallons of water and 50 pounds of bran and 3/4 cups of molasses and tightly seal for a month with the bran?
     Already have the bran.
  • Lisa,

Thank you so much for opening your home for the class on Thurs and Sat! I know it was very helpful for them to see a real system and how creative people can be with them.

Your goats are adorable, and I'm fascinated with your Mara! I love seeing the country inside of the city. :)

  • Thank you.

  • Im sorry. I got the time wrong. I read pm instead of AM. This morning I was hosting our monthly Market on the Move at Southminster Church. I apologize that I could not attend. I hope we can find another time.

These are outside, pond fish.  There are 2 big ones that are a couple of years old and a whole mess of babies born this spring.  You could use these for mosquito control or feeder fish.  The babies are about an inch long.  Send me a note to set up a…

"Jacq,
Have some grape vine cuttings for you, including a cane that got buried by accident and already has roots!  I'm 80% sure its a Flame, if not it is Thomson seedless.  Let me know if you want it and when.
