  • Are you talking about the items on my page? if so that is in reference to a meeting of the marketing committee. From your pix it looks like you are doing well with your grapes. I just planted some this summer. I can't wait to pick em.
  • Hi, thank you for the comment, I love your garden too.
  • Diane,

Thank you for the very nice & thoughtful recent comment on my garden. I'll take a moment here to alos see what you have posted on your site when I have a little more time. -Jeff
  • Thank you for the link Ericka. I did take a look at the video and believe my Redflame grapes need to be cane pruned. I kinda had in mind last year how I would approach pruning this winter but sometimes best laid plans don't always work out. I love pruning almost anything so I have confidence I won't mess up too bad. Ha ha ha ha. I do know I must feed it when it starts sending out shoots. It must have grown to 8 to 10 times it's size this year plus the bumper crop of grapes so will need the aditional feeding.
  • I hear that sometimes the second year (if you get fruit the first year) will not be as robust. There is a video that talks about the different pruning for specific grapes. Here is the link. We have 3 grapes first year in and did not get any fruit, and now have to prune as well. We need to look over our notes to see which ones are canes and which are spurs. The videos on fruit tree pruning are great too.
  • Welcome! Those grapes look awesome, can't wait till ours produces!
