Hi Cindy, happy New Year. Hope all is going well for you. Do you still have plans on building a straw bale home? I am inches away from my license and looking forward to this new year. We got the apple tree from Moon Valley Nursery. It's called an Anna's Apple. I think they are from Isreal. This tree is in my rose garden, so it gets plenty of water, gets fertilized on a regular basis, there are a lot of bees to pollenate the flowers. The apples got huge this year.
I also am a 'late blooming gardner' having had a very busy earlier life with work & kids. Good luck to you. I was facinated by the bananas but have not tried that. I have had some luck with pineapple tops rooting and making a pretty plant.
