I am a trained facilitator with www.awakeningthedreamer.org a symposium on sustainability and global warming. Currently, I am researching venues throughout Phoenix to spread the message. We need to change the "dream of the north" concerning our wasteful consumption.

I have some free time now that our new showroom is organized and doing plenty of business. I would really like to use my free time to learn about green living and getting to know people in the Green community.

Please feel free to let me now of events that I can attend so that I can start getting to know people as well as start my continuing education with living green.

About Me:

I am from upstate NY. I grew up in a village and spent most of my time camping, hiking, playing sports, volunteering, farming and anything that would give me an excuse to be outside My main goal is to get my name to be well known in the building industry as well as develop life long relationships with forward thinking individuals that have the same goals as I do. Right now I am currently managing a tile showroom in North Scottsdale. I have been doing my best to source green products as well as learn about the green building industry. My main skills are networking with businesses and individuals as well as design hard surface areas for interior and exterior applications. Updated April 15th 2012 I have not been on here in over a year! So here is where I am at now... Just moved into a house that has a good sized yard, I just ordered a bunch of heirloom seeds for vegetables and herbs that can be planted at this particular time of year. Gonna use a raised bed system for now, and starting to experiment with an Aquaponic system and eventually build a good sized one that will feed at least 10 people all year round. The idea is to create an easy to maintain system that is easy and inexpensive to put together. I am still great at networking and my focus has turned to social media communication education and online marketing techniques. I work with small and micro businesses to help them understand how to effectively utilize the internet to get the message out about their business as well as gain and interact with an online following. I have my own business called White Hat Social Media and we create short videos that show people how to utilize all social media platforms. Looking to connect with people that understand where we are in our society and to embrace the current technology as well as all tings that are necessary for sustaining our life on this planet. Community garden at SCC

Hello.Anne Goldfeld and I are starting a community garden at Scottsdale Community College. We decided that we are going to grow native plant life here. Can anyone suggest anything that would be easy to grow and yield a nice harvest?
