Still have Starter/Grower Feed but They are starting to lay eggs. Do I need to switch to layer feed?

My flock is about 4.5 months old and we are starting to get sporadic eggs from I believe a couple of them. I still have around another months worth of starter/grower feed before I was planning to break into my layer feed. Do I need to switch now or can I wait? The feed is from the bulk orders through Scott B. so it is good stuff. Any advice would be appreciated. (Picture of boys with first eggs....totally excited!)

    I made the switch when they started laying and sold my extra to someone in the group who needed it.

    You could call Blue Sky and see what they recommend.

    You can use up the grower. It's just extra protein for them and that is fine. Especially for summer. I supplement my layer and use starter as a treat for my layers. Just set out some oyster shells so they have extra calcium to supplement with.
