My 3 year old Rhode Island Red seems a bit off these days - the following symptoms may be a coincidence (even a little silly) but my gut tells me something isnt right. She started sleeping on a lower roost a month ago. In the last week or two she has quite a bit of feces on her feathers around her anus. Today she waddled and squatted through the yard instead of her usual peppie step. She acted as if she needed to lay an egg. She still has an appetite and will let us pet her. I cant tell if she is or isnt laying eggs as the other girls eggs look similar. Ideas? Am i being an over-sensitive chicken mama? Could she have an egg stuck in there?
Thanks!
