Help!! Our 4 1/2 month old Production Red "hen" is suddenly morphing into a rooster and unfortunately we can't keep him. We hand raised from a chick, so he's sweet tempered and friendly. He's been with 3 other hens and is cooped at night but free ranges in our small back yard during the day. I would prefer he go to a home where he can be a rooster, safe from predators and have enough hens to keep him happy. But if someone wants to process him, I'm not opposed to that. I just don't have the stomach to do it.
