Coyote Warning! Out in broad daylight

With this cold streak keep an eye out on your girls!!  We live near 32nd St and Shea and have never had an issue with coyotes for over 5 years.  I guess with this cold streak the rabbits and quail have bunkered down so the coyotes are getting desperate.  In broad daylight they came down the street, climbed our wall, and killed 5 of our 7 girls.   A sad day for our family.   Warn others in the area!  And keep your small cats and dogs inside too!

    that's so awful, i'm so sorry to hear it. i agree...if you have big dogs let them stay outside with the chickens.

    I know! They have been in our yard every evening since mid Jan. Jumped a 7 ft brick fence. We are bunkered down tight. They are trying to rip the top off our rabbit cage and dig under the fence of our coop. We are at Tatum/ and Dynamite.

    So sorry for your loss. Just awful:(

      They have tried to dig under the fence? Oh my...How do you have the chickens secured to prevent them from getting thru?
