    I am retrofitting an old house to an (almost) off the grid residence. I am also installing 20,000 sf of permaculture and sustainable annuals. I am looking to join or form co-operative organizations. My property is at 35th and buckeye. 3422 west hadley if the gate is open come on in.     I need lots of organic veg/fruit "waste" - I assume all you good permies recycle your kitchen waste into compost, but if you don't, please feel free to bring it by and I'll use it in my raised beds! Does anyone know of any sources of (preferably organic) veg waste in the West Valley?

    Hi everyone! I moved to Sun City a couple of years ago and promptly planted 17 fruit & nut trees with Whole Foods organic compost... and then went on to make "raised bed walls" (raised beds made with adobe-cob that double as boundary walls) around this wide-open property... and now I'm so happy to find out there are other people nearby who are interested in all this stuff!     Hello everyone. I just moved into Maryvale 49th Ave & Highland. We close on our house the 24th of November and it is pretty much a baren lot so i am really excited about applying some permaculture principles to my poor little unloved house. Looking forward to meeting you guys. D

Hi,Hi everyone - I just joined the South West Valley Group and have serious questions.I read online that eucalyptus is poison to trees or other plants around it. What I need to ask is:  Does anyone know how far away another tree should be to prevent it from                                  the eucalyptus poison.                                  Is it the oil in the leaves that is bad? New here, bees, etc.

Hi, I am new to this area.   Have retired here from California.   I know I am west valey but not sure of the south part of this.  Have an acre near Waddell Road and Cotton - is that southwest valley??   Anyone else near me?  Also, I am interested in keeping bees (along with chickens, goats, turkeys, sheep, and guiene hogs) here.  But have heard that Phoenix does not allow beekeeping.  I am not in any city but in Maricopa County.  Does anyone know if we can keep bees here?  Hoping to hear from…
