  • Jill,

I mean JOAT, I apologize for calling you the wrong name! Please, please, please forgive my confusion.

    Love,

  • Susan,

Does that "why" mean you are less than thrilled with things up there? I'd love to know. My whys are 1) I could afford horse property that 2) would be in walking distance to the Post Office, Library, and Market, and 3)10 degrees cooler in the summer with more rain. I am looking at 3 acres with a ten year old double wide a little over a mile from the center of Mayer. One challenge would be I don't drive, another would be how to get my eleven year old daughter up to see me on the weekends. Still in the researching stages! What do you like and not like about the area? Not the weather, I'm pretty familiar with that, but the social climate would be the best way to put it, I guess. I look forward to your responses. If you want to take this to email, my address is LisetteLV at earthlink dot net.

  • Susan, I left you a note about the compost bin on my blog. It occurred to me that maybe that wouldn't get to you, so check for my response. Katherine
  • Hi Susan, we did get our silkies (Thelma & Louise) from a guy in central phoenix, we also got snuggles the tiny rooster form him :o)
I don't know if he still sells them, but we got ours for $2 each.
I'll add you to my friends, and I can email you his phone number if you like.
  • Hi! I think I have found a home for Misun in my sisters ex- husbands mother (would that make her MY mother in law, once removed?). She came over to pick up my neice and fell in love. She is going on vacation but is scheduled to pick up Misun the 7th of July.
If, for any reason, it falls through you would be 2nd on my list as potential adoptees. He's too young now for shots and worming so that would need to be done in 2 weeks as well as his fix in a few months. Otherwise he is a playful little purr bucket, attention stealer. I really adore him.
    And self litter box trained!

His sister needs TLC rehab and is going to an adults only home where she will be well loved and not trauatized by dogs or loud noises and will have vigilant parents about her health; as she may have long term care issues from prolonged abuse and neglect. She still cowers at a moth.

Now I just have one screaming, biting, plucking parrot to get into Oasis and I may have a quasi normal home again :)
    Until next time. :)>
  • If you are interested in the kitten it is first come first serve. I need to get his blood work and stool check back and he hasn't had an FLV yet. The fleas are (hopefully) almost under control. I've got him in quarantine until I know he's safe to be around other animals and humans. I'd say he should be ready to go next weekend. I'm trying to change my av to his pic tonight. Now, he was a feral... so he'll take alot of affection and a bottomless food bowl, but he's coming around so nicely I'm not really concerned. He'll need a clip and his second round of shots by mid July.
Where is Mayer? You're a permie and we are by nature nurturing people, so I know you'll make an excellent home for him.

Susan replied to Janet's discussion Unsalable Grocery Produce for Livestock in Micro Livestock
"I have tried at my local Basha's and at my local Safeway both, they both told me it's against store policy due to legal issues to let people have the produce. So into the dumpster it goes, to be wasted.

I have asked my local restaurant about…"
