  • Marcia~ Thanks so much for the bamboo note!  I would LOVE to come and get some.  Hm, thinking over my schedule for the weekend.  Would Sunday afternoon be an OK time to come by?  Should I bring a saw/hatchet?

Happy Friday and stay cool :)  Ann

  • Hi Marcia,
I have not been able to find red clover seeds locally. I have seen Baker Nursery carry flats of plants but that is an expensive way to cover crop a yard. My recommendation is to go to Seeds of Change (I think it is a .com) and have them ship you some. I usually purchase a bulk order and that has covered a front or back lawn for me. If you call the number on their website, they can give some idea of the dimensions but if you are working with an area that is bigger than standard central phx front lawn size, I would opt for a larger bulk order. If you have extra, you can always take them to a seed exchange and trade for something that you don't already have! Good luck and let me know if you have any troubles. Thanks, Heather

"I've been looking for a source of lard like we used to get on the farm. Am hoping this will be one solution."

"I'd LIKE to have geckos and lizards, but they don't seem able to co-habit with the large feral cat population... any suggestions there?  Cats seem to like to trap the geckos...WORSE yet...they seem to think the roaches are wind-up toys or trophies…"

"Ann -

I think Sunday afternoon will be ok...any idea when?  I have tons of tools, so no, you don' t need to bring any.  This isn't the elephant bamboo, so most of the time I can cut through it with a lopper of some kind.

"Heather - is there anyplace locally to buy red clover seed? I've called several Feed/Seed stores in East Valley, but no one had it; all suggested online. Also have no idea how much to buy. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks -"
