Rabbit get together?

There seems to be a lot of interest in rabbits. What would people think about having a get-together to exchange info and ideas?

  • Next step I guess would be to determine a meetup place. I'm in the west Valley.
    • I have a club house we can use
    • That would be great! Whereabouts are you?
    • cave creek and union hills
    • Sorry I didn't get back earlier, things have been hectic around here! The rabbit demo is schedule the end of January, right? I can't make that one this time around, so what do people think; should we plan something before then, or afterwards? I'd like to schedule for a Sunday if at all possible, or the third Saturday of the month as I work Saturdays.
    • Hello all, I've just signed up for this site and I love all the info I have read!

I just recently purchased chicks, built their coop, and am having fun with them. I do wish I'd seen this site back then. I absolutely love them.

But, the reason I am on this particular post is because my husband and I are seriously considering adding rabbits sometime this year, and I see you are planning a rabbit get together. We would like to come. If the date has been set, when & where would it be held?

    • Hi Jan, and welcome! We haven't set a date yet. There's a chicken get together in January that many plan on attending, as well as a rabbit demonstration so we're still trying to figure out when a good time would be.
  • There is a class in January at Treasa'a house to learn meat processing. She seems to know a lot.
    • Actually its Kay Wunderlich's house.  I am actually kind of a newbie at this.  Chris Byers and Maria are the experienced experts I go to with questions.  I also read alot and belong to a few rabbit meat groups that are very helpful.  I am an enthusiastic learner and love to share what I have learned.

Maria-I will be there count me in.

    • When is the class?
