I have four five week old Khaki Campbell ducks who need to be re-homed asap. They are very sweet and friendly. They are brown khaki colored. They are just getting there feathers in. Not sure if they are Drakes or hens (as there feathers come in is when you can tell) They can not fly. They are very cute. I am asking a small re-homing fee of 7.00 ea or 30 for all four. Please call me at 480-964-1776.

  • I would reccomend rethinking this choice. Why not get Muscovy ducks instead? Get one drake and two female adults. Then you can participate in the egg sharing and duckling trading I hope to do later on next year.
  • I know Pratt's and probably several other feedstores get them in from time to time. I had some Khaki Campbells that I hatched from eggs from another person on this list, only to have to rehome them at about 3 months because of noise. These were significantly louder than my chickens especially at dusk and a little before dawn (my neighbors across the street and 3 doors down could hear them). Someone emailed me after they had been rehomed to tell me to train them to sleep in a dog crate (or coop) that you can lock and cover with a sheet or something (to block the light) to prevent the eaaarrly morning quacking. I think 24 hour access to food would also help. I still really miss my ducks, so I want you to go into this with as much info as possible. Good luck and post pictures if you get them!
P.S. Ducks are sold unsexed so if you want to be sure what you're getting, get adults. Also ducklings will poop you out of house and home, but they are unmatched in cuteness!
  • Check craigslist and the feedstores and hatcheries online. Lots of local ducks.
