Henrietta is actually Henry now.

If anyone wants a young Ameracauna rooster (6months old) He is free to a good home or dinner (he has been fed organic feed and free ranges for about 4 hours a day) I hate to see him go, but I can not have him in the city limits. So far he is a very protective of the chickens and chases the cats away, but he is gentle with my small children.contact me by Monday night or he is going back to Pratt's.Ben-602-538-0457

  • I'm beginning to wonder if one of my ameracaunas is a rooster, it's tail is longer and stands up more than the other and it's bigger. How did you know it was a rooster? (aside from it crowing?)
    • I love the sock monkeys too!
    • Yep, It is a head taller than the others, it has longer tail feathers, seems to be the dominant one and is a little more timid around people. 2 days ago he started to crow! That was the final tell tale sign :) I got him at Pratt' pets and they said they would take him back, so he is going back tomorrow unless someone else claims him.
