Chicken stolen from coop in Tempe! Please help us find her!

Hi all - some friends of mine had their chickens stolen out of their coop behind their house at about 11:30pm last night (Wed pm) near 12th and Roosevelt in Tempe. When confronted by a neighbor, they dropped one chicken, but got away with the other. Below is the message that I received from my friend Matt this morning - if you see a lost chicken, or have any information that might help them find her, please contact Matt (contact info below).  Also, please spread the word to anyone you know who lives in that neighborhood to be on the lookout for a lost chicken.  She is very friendly.

This morning I received some terrible news. Apparently, someone broke intoour coop last night (11:30 PM) and stole our chickens. A neighbor at619 W. 12th confronted them and they dropped Scrambles but still madeoff with the Shake-n-bake. Dawn and Chris, our neighbors whowere watching them, reported it to the police and Scrambles has comeback with an injured leg. I am still trying to get a hold of ourneighbor at 619 to find out more.

I am hopeful this was just a prank and Shake-n-bake has been releasedsomewhere in the neighborhood. If you could spread the word to thepermaculture guild folks in the neighborhood, I would reallyappreciate. Here isa picture of Shake-n-bake, she is the smaller brown bird on the left.If folks see her and can catch they can drop her off in our yard (1136S. Roosevelt St. - NW corner of Roosevelt and 12th). People can call meif they see or hear anything 802-558-8007.

oh no how awful. i'll keep an eye out, i'm near mitchel and 10th. why do people steal chickens???!!
