The Phoenix Backyard Poultry MeetUp Group is doing a coop tour and potluck event this Sunday at 2pm.The goal is to get to know some other poultry buffs and share ideas about chicken environments. This is a small group and tour, with about 20 people attending to date. It should be a fun time of sharing, munching, and getting to know each other.
If you're interested in joining the tour, go to the MeetUp page at: http://www.meetup.com/PhoenixBackyardPoultry/events/36248022/?a=ed1_l6 You'll need to create a MeetUp account if you don't already have one.
We had five coops lined up, but two coops had to back out this week, so if you have a coop you'd like to share, we'd be very appreciative!

Sounds like a fun appetizer :) to be followed up by the VPA's annual Tour de Coops on Dec. 3rd! Remind your group that we will have 23 coops on the tour and tickets are only $10 at http://tourdecoops.org There will be a wide variety of coops and poultry to see, including one owner who is raising 'meat chickens' this year. It is a great opportunity to meet lots of other coop owners and share stories with each other. We know how the addiction works - after 3 coops you will HAVE to see more! Hope to see you there!!!
Yes! I'll be giving out information about the Tour de Coops. I know many will be very interested, including me, of course. :) We'll be picking up some meat chickens in a week or two, so it will be interesting to see that setup.
