That's so interesting! I'd heard of using milk to reduce bugs in gardens & in aquaponics systems, but now I know why it would work. And this takes it to a much higher level by using the microbes in raw milk to restore the soil.
Interesting article. I like the details of how they tested for the best concentration, as well as the comments from the man's years of experience. I also found it interesting the article does advocate for finding more uses for raw milk. If this became common practice, it might raise the price of milk, however that is doubtful, considering how little milk is needed. However, it does give a ladder for a dairy farmer to climb in developing a raw milk market. Sell first for non-human consumption needs, learn, grow, and later get certified for human-consumption.
The next time the field is filled with bugs, I will try to find a few gallons of raw milk and see what happens.
