Ants in chicken coop - HELP

It looks like we situated our chicken coop near a hill of ants.Does anyone know if the ants are going to hurt the pullets during the night?THe pullets are 6 and 7 weeks old.Thank you for any help.

    Ants don't like coffee grounds. Ask Starbuck's and they'll give you all the grounds you need.

      Janet, that is the coolest advice! I didn't know! Is it OK for the chickens though? I am definitely putting grounds around my garden.

      The chickens don't seem to eat the coffee grounds. Dan's suggestion of DE is effective, also, but I'm afraid that would kill off any beneficial insects that the hens eat.
