About Me:
I'm a CPA and live in Scottsdale, AZ with a tiny little patch of yard. Because we live on the side of a mountain, our soil has no nutritive value and is filled with rocks (very hard to dig!!) I have two kids so half of the yard is already dedicated to swing sets and toys. However, I want to teach my kids (and myself) about the glory of the earth, what it can produce and how to take care of it.

I believe that the gardening program is a wonderful step in teaching children how to grow their own food. Your girls are very lucky to have such a school that will teach this subject.
Yes, it seems that this is a little too complicated for the age range, because of the use of power tools and assemble of parts. Perhaps in May or June, I will have an instructional class curriculum put together. Maybe then we could talk about getting a rainwater harvesting class session to the students.
I am grateful for your consideration!
