  • I am very interested in hearing about your new goats please keep me updated. I have never owned a goat and would love to have one. I hear they get along great with horses too :) I need to learn more....
  • Good news! Just got word that I will be receiving 3 Toggenburgs from the Houynhymn Herd that have national records for milk protein and milk quantity production. The herd source is threatened with extinction as the breeder is 82 years-old, and as there seems to be no people interested in dairy goats with these capabilities. Once I can get started with these three, getting more should be a given. I will be looking for help on this one. Here is a rare opportunity for anyone interested in goat milk to be involved with establishing a dairy and conservation breeding project for perhaps the most potentially productive herd in the US. This is also a chance to learn from one of the rarest goat breeders around. I'd like to build shelters and pens in January so the goats can come in by February.

If you have a space you are wanting to do biodynamics large scale, we would love to support you in your efforts.
I would love to talk to you more. My contact information is Tami Staas home #480-756-2778, cell # 80-282-7104, email - tstaas@cox.net.

  • Ah yeah! The Blue Herron Farm in Salinas, Ca is one of the best BD Farm ever established. Google works. Happy Kwanza! Today, we celebrate the 4th principle Ujamaa/Cooperative Economics (it works when you work it).
  • You sound like the Man to fill the Phoenix Metro lack. I don't have any practical knowledge of the BD preps; however, some of my former collegues/associates have used them all the lives. I do know they work anywhere, any clime on this planet. Google: Alan York biodynamics, or Frei Vinyards for examples of succesfull practioners. If you really want to learn there are those who can "heighten your learning curve". The Time is Now! Godspeed!
  • Welcome John! Where in the PHX area are you creating your permaculture farm? How exciting!
