      Hello Hunter!

Wow! Your answer to the "About Me" section is very interesting!  Breaking the Fourth Wall here a bit: it would be really great to meet up with you sometime and further discuss your ideas about society, permaculture, the future and so on. It sounds like you and I maintain quite a few of the same views, and I'm always interested in meeting like-minded people.  I, however, am in Tempe and, from your profile, it looks like you're in Tucson?  This could make meeting up difficult; but, if you're in the Tempe area in the near future, drop me a line and maybe we can grab some coffee or something and brainstorm for a bit!

Either way, welcome to Valley Permaculture Alliance and good luck in your endeavors to improve the environment and help the people and wildlife within it! Be sure to get involved in the forum! There are a lot of other people who think like you and I in this group, and you might even find someone in your area that has a project or initiative or something that is aligned with your aspirations!

Here comes the generic greeting ;D Cheers!

Thank you for joining the Valley Permaculture Alliance (VPA) forum! VPA is a Phoenix-based non-profit that offers classes, training, activities, tours, events and demonstrations to inspire sustainable urban living in the desert Southwest. Learn more about VPA on the ‘About Us’ page, and explore what this site has to offer. We hope that you will participate fully in the many groups, forums, and other resources on this site. Please take advantage of the wealth of knowledge readily shared by our members!

Are you looking for a way to support our local permaculture community? Consider how you can share your surplus:

      · Time by volunteering

      · Knowledge by teaching

      · Experience by posting here on the forum

      · Funds by making a financial donation

We look forward to getting to know you!

Want another way to connect with VPA? Look for us on Facebook (facebook.com/valleypermaculturealliance) and Twitter (@vpapermie).

    About Me:

I am a young man. I grew up with my single mother and younger brother in the suburbs of Glendale, Arizona. I consider myself a problem solver. I have had plenty of experience with employment, but I have yet to find work that is meaningful to me. I want to make the world a better place using the systems that we learn from nature. I feel most alive when I am outside around animals and plants, and when I'm doing work that helps grow and sustain the ecosystem. This is what my soul yearns for, and I am seeking opportunities to take on this kind of work. I want to see the natural environment of the Sonoran Desert thriving with life. There are many useful food and medicines that we should grow in abundance to support our community, our economy, and our ecosystem. My metropolitan lifestyle has limited me from networking with people who do environmental and agricultural work, but I have used my privileges of time and technology to educate myself on many things. I have an interest in politics, environmental systems. I have decided that the only way for people to survive into the future is to redevelop our infrastructure and economic systems in a sustainable way, and we must regrow and nourish the natural biosphere.
