I am not much of a patio pot grower, but right now it is too hot to grow much until next month (August) when you start to plant cool season crops like brocoli, cauliflower, brussels, and early Sept. is lettuce, carrots, onions, corriander, thyme and beets. You can put in transplants of tomatoes in if you can find them and you may have a fall harvest. March is when you plan the summer crops of tomatoes, corn, squash, basil etc.

"Thanks, Erica! Any thoughts about what I can grow now in pots? (Every August in VA is about a huge basil harvest and pesto making as well as tomatoes and peppers out of my ears--feel funny not growing anything!). Heather"
