Nitrogen fixing cover this fall

I have sm yard and wanted to plant a cover crop yet this yr if not too late . I welcome feedback.

            Is there enough time yet to get benefit of both Nitrogen and aeration of the clay soil?   

            Would you recommend red clover, hairy vetch, radish or possibly a combo of winter blend?     

            Is there a local source where I might purchase seeds and get going in next few days?

Possibly the alfafa suggestion would be the most appropriate for you, but read through.
