Looking for a composter

Hello everybody J

 

I am currently shopping for a composter and I am interested in your opinion. I am looking for the tumbler kind as I am kind of lazy and admit that I will not do the pitch fork method. Another positive side of the tumbler is that it can be moved as needed.

 

Here are the two models I am looking at:

What I like about the Envirocycle one is that it collects the “compost tea” in the base. My friend owns #2 and loves it. I read many positive reviews on #1 but I don’t know anybody using one.

 

Of course, I am also open to donations if you have an old composter that you are looking to give away ;-)

Yes it has a lid. I cut off the one that came with it, reversed it and bungied it back on. See the slot at the top of the barrel...that is for the bungie hook. There are four slots so I can cross bungie it.

Do you mean one like by green shoes below (next reply) compared to having the barrel on its side, or do you mean compared to a traditional compost box? I don't like the traditional compost box, it will not work for me.
