Bokashi Kitchen Composter

Just purchased one of these. Does anyone have experience with this product? I live in an apartment so this looked like a good way to start a compost. If anyone is interested I will update this discussion on how well this works out.I purchased this product online here:

  • Dang, I wished I'd seen this before. I have one of these and so does my mother. They work out great. I used it for soil building for my summer garden. For my winter garden, my bucket-o-bokashi wasn't quite ready, so I've just got Ken Singh compost there. When my bucket is done, I'll bury it in the chicken yard (where they can't get to it) in the general compost area, next to (but not in) my winter garden, or in the area of my trees (not too close to the trees b/c it's so acidic). it builds wonderful soil. My summer garden did great (if only I'd shaded it earlier, that's</> what finally did the summer garden in). How is yours doing now?
  • Keep us updated. I am interested in it. Especially since it claims you can compost meat and bones with it, then bury the "compost" The Permaculture guild had a class a couple years ago about making your own bokashi too, maybe they should do that again.
