I gathered wild pods, dried them in my shed (eggs hatched, bugs everywhere), then in October ground them in my vitamix. I bought the dry grain grinder and it worked really well. I found that grinding a couple of handfuls at a time worked the best.
I use my Krupps coffee grinder and then a flour sifter. Usually make between 5-10 pounds of flour this way each year from the mesquites in my yard. I then keep the flour in the freezer.

I harvested several tubs last year and volunteered to help run the Hammer Mill at last year's VPA Milling event. what info are you looking for?
I harvested mesquite last year and used my vitamix (blender on steroids) to grind them and it worked well.
