Greetings. I have some new photos. We just finished the middle school aquaponics facility we have been working on for way too long today, turned on the air and water and fitted the Styrofoam growbeds. So far everything works and we finished just in time to get a visit from the education committee. All we must do now is stock test fish and plant. We are going to start with common goldfish to work out the bugs. Most folks don’t know it, but goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus) can get over a pound when fed properly and so will serve as a good analogue for food fish. We are still deciding what summer plant crop to start with.

  • Our six starter goldfish grew to between 6 and 9" in about 8 months. They turned out to be quite pretty, too. We didn't feed them, but the natural food they ate really enhanced their color.

  • Greetings. I am looking up the liner specs for you. In the mean time, someone asked offline what the plant growbed area was? Since this is a custom educational system designed for learning, the growbed area is adjustable according to the need of the students. Currently it is 72 square feet.

  • What are you using for the liner of the bed on this project?
