I was growing it very well using hydroponics and grow lights in my garage, but when I took it out to the greenhouse algae took over and maintenance became a burden. I have a few little bits floating in an aquarium now. I need to figure out how to raise it without so much work, but the fish do like it!
Dennis used to sell it for $5 for, maybe, 1/8 to 1/4 cup. That's all you need to start. Treated well, it can nearly double daily.

I just gave a big bag of it to Cindy over at Harvest Hydroponics. If she can't hook you up, give me a yell. I clean that stuff out of my fish tanks every couple weeks or more. and there is always left overs.
I got mine from Phoenix tropical fish, they sometimes have it. The fish will decimate it, so be sure to keep it in a separate tank. I don't have any right now, it took a nose dive this summer, I'm not sure why.
