Welcome and thanks for joining the Valley Permaculture Alliance (VPA) website!  VPA is a Phoenix based non-profit that offers classes, training, activities, tours, events and demonstrations.  Learn more about VPA on the ‘About Us’ page, and explore what this site has to offer.  We hope that you will participate fully in the many groups, forums, and other resources on this site.  Please take advantage of the wealth of knowledge readily shared by our members!

And thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with VPA.  There are many volunteer opportunities such as assisting with classes, with the seed library, in the office, and at events like the annual Tour de Coops and Mesquite Pancake Breakfast.  We encourage you to join the Volunteer Group (http://www.phoenixpermaculture.org/group/volunteer) to stay up to date with all the volunteer opportunities we have available or email volunteer@vpaaz.org.  You, the Volunteer, make it possible fo the VPA to accomplish our mission of inspiring sustainable urban living in the desert southwest.  And we look forward to getting to know you!

Want another way to connect with VPA? Look for us on Facebook.  (https://www.facebook.com/ValleyPermacultureAlliance) and Twitter (@vpapermie).

If you have any questions or suggestions, please let us know. You can email Susan, the Class Coordinator at classes@vpaaz.org about classes and the website.  You can also reach Kate, the Volunteer Manager, via kate@vpaaz.org.

      Best wishes,

      Victoria

P.S. I too miss vermicomposting.  There are people who post on this site that do vermicomposting here in the desert.  Try posting a question about it or do a search for prior discussions.  Good Luck!!

    About Me:

Composting Queen - miss my 3 pile composting method. But here we have no fence in the desert - regular visits by Javelinas so can't have any open food smells. Got a tumbler composter for Christmas -hooray - . Also miss my worms - that's what brought me to this site. Came to learn if there's any chance at all for their survival in the heat.
