About Me:
I am South African born, and have been living and working in NYC as a textile designer since 1995. My partner recently received an offer of employment in Phoenix, so I left my textile design job and we relocated to Phoenix. I am not working at the moment, but spending my time attempting to make sense of the garden. I love all things outdoors, especially gardening and want to learn more. I am interested in the whole 'green' movement and in organic and sustainable gardening. Gardening in a desert is uncharted waters for me, and I am looking to learn!

Hi Wayne, what a difference Phoenix must be to you and your parter! I think you'll find that your time is very well spent studying the very different methods that desert gardening requires. Perhaps we'll see you and your partner at some of our classes soon! If not, you'll find lots and lots to learn and share here. We're glad you found us!

We offer a variety of classes to our members on requested fee basis ($15 or more) that goes toward venue hard-costs, also to our experienced and knowledgeable instructors, as well as to support the non-profit in providing quality education for improving our health, our communities and environment.
