About Me:

I'm a transplant from southern Oregon, by way of San Diego and Sunnyvale, California. Although I've been an avid gardener for years, I came to Scottsdale 5 years ago knowing nothing about how to grow things in the desert. The first thing I did was become a Certified Desert Landscaper through the Desert Botanical Gardens. Since then, I've been a weekly horticulture aide at DBG, working with the cacti, agave, aloe and succulent collections. On the agriculture side, I spent three years as a grower and CSA coordinator at Love Grows Farms, an all-natural CSA farm in Mesa. To date, I've learned just enough about how to be a grower here to know how much more I NEED to learn. =)
