  • Hmmmm...good idea. I won't be entering any contests and there's no way a tractor can get into the area of my yard where I might grow it, but it will be fun to try. That's a lot of pumpkin bread and pie. My kids can't wait.
  • Hey there - Thank you for suggestion. Actually I started that in the fall. I put the seeds throughout my grass as well to mix it up. Interestingly, they aren't growing a lush as I'd thought. Takes time. I also purchased through my co-op alfalfa pellets and added them into my compost pile and added them around garden areas. I still have more seed, so I'll work on some more areas and not be as limited in application. Thank you again.
  • Hi Stuart! Great photo. So I tried digging my pumpking hole, but since the soil here is more like solid rock (caliche), I gave up and decided to go with more built up soils with raised beds. My pumpking didn't get that big, but I can't complain and have more than enough pumpking to feed my family. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos in the future.
